Selecting the right GaN platform for a channel program
Port allocation, power profiles, plug standards, and thermal limits should be reviewed together before a charger enters packaging development.
Start with the load map
List the devices, simultaneous-use cases, cable limits, regional plug, and maximum enclosure size before comparing controller platforms. Port count alone does not define the product.
Review the power and thermal budget together
Confirm single-port and shared-port profiles, derating behavior, surface-temperature limits, protection recovery, and the cable assumptions used during testing.
Freeze the channel configuration
The approved sample, firmware profile, plug, label, packaging accessories, and market documents should share one revision before mass production.
